Sunday 24th April 2022 Matchday Information

Bury FC Women v Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies FC matchday information

Football finally returns to Gigg Lane this coming Sunday 24th April. We would like to issue some matchday information to supporters and attendees at the venue.

We will continue to work with the stadium safety advisory committee to adhere to the certification and restrictions. For Sunday’s fixture we will be using the Cemetery End stand. As we continue to hold events, we will continue to use more of the stands, ensuring it is cost effective for the numbers in attendance.

Gigg Lane is a sporting venue, with a capacity of 12,500. As such we are required to have a safety certificate in place for matches with attendees no matter what level of competition.

Whilst we want a party atmosphere to celebrate the return of football back at Gigg Lane in nearly 3 years, we would like to emphasise that pyrotechnics will not be allowed into the stadium. Searches will be carried out and banning orders will be issued if necessary. Pitch encroachment is illegal and also subject to a banning order.

This will be a fun and momentous occasion so bring your flags, confetti canisters, drums and your voices – and let’s create an event to be proud of!

Owen The Grill will also be back to serve his much loved burgers, hot dogs, soft and hot drinks on the day.

Alcohol sales is not yet permitted so persons bringing their own will have anything taken and disposed of.

Gates will open at 1pm. We will announce an update on Saturday evening when we hope there will also be a cash turnstile open for the game.

We can’t wait, and hope you all enjoy the game!
