#TheGiggCleanUp Part IV More dates announced.

Thank you to all our army of volunteers who have been down to Gigg Lane over the last 3 weekends.

Our army stands at 850 amazing people from 5 to 84 year old’s who have assisted cleaning up the stands, walkways and entry points into the stadium.

Almost all the seats have been cleaned with the family stand to finish, followed by the car park, turnstile areas and internals of the Main Stand. Jet washing will commence this weekend with volunteers being asked to undertake hour slots per water bowser to clean the stands and walkways.

We would like to thank the below companies who are supporting the restoration of Gigg Lane as a community project; Window Plas, Trident Windows, Garic, Bury Skip Hire, Seniors Waste Removals, Chorlton Sweepers, The Grill Eatery, RC Solutions Pitch Care Ltd and Cheetham Hill Construction.

Daniel Bowerbank Director of Operations said, “We are on target with our schedule of works and we can’t thank every single volunteer or business enough who have assisted us in getting us to where we are today.

To see so many people assist with the Gigg Cleanup and to speak to so many people over the last few weeks and finding out what Gigg Lane means to them, the history, memories and pride they have in helping with this project shows what an asset Gigg Lane is to the whole community of Bury.”

You can sign up for next weekends cleanup here. We are only doing Saturday this weekend as people will be busy with Mothers Day on Sunday.

For those without access to the online ticket site, you can sign into the ground through the office on the day.
