CHESHIRE AUTISM FC MAKE GIGG LANE HOME

CHESHIRE AUTISM FC MAKE GIGG LANE HOME

We are delighted to announce that Bury Football Club and Bury Football Club Supporters’ Society will host a series of matches for Cheshire Autism FC over the coming months.

Set up in 2019, Cheshire Autism Football Club has become a vehicle for raising awareness and money for Cheshire Autism Practical Support (CHAPS) DONATE TO CHAPS HERE and the club have not only taken part in the Affinity Cup, but also come up against ex-professionals, celebrity teams and other charities.

Ian Diver who helps with the running of Cheshire Autism FC was keen to make Gigg Lane their home for their upcoming fixtures,

“After the horrible news of Bury going in to administration and out of the Football League, we thought we could be part of  bringing football back to Gigg Lane and help get Bury back where they belong.”

Cheshire Autism FC’s drive to raise money has also given them extra incentive to play at Gigg Lane. The club have pledged to split all proceeds from fixtures 50:50 in order to support the Society’s mission to restore and redevelop Gigg Lane. DONATE TO GIG LANE HERE

Diver said, “We want to be on board with helping and not just football but anyway we can. If that means cleaning toilets, litter picking, painting or building work; giving back to the fans is something close to our heart and helping with this football family. When we hire Gigg Lane HIRE GIGG LANE HERE we want to give back with the money we raise and split it down the middle. I hope the fans will see we are not just here for the nice pitch for our team, but to do all we can to get Bury FC back to where they belong.”

We are delighted to support this cause and equally delighted by the ways Cheshire Autism FC want to support our efforts. We shall publish all fixtures when they are confirmed and encourage Shakers fans and everyone from the footballing and local community to support yet another positive fan-led venture.
